Who's won the biggest contracts in fiscal 2013 so far?

October and November, the beginning months of fiscal 2013, were very active when you look at contract news. Within that time span, we saw a several giants award: three contracts were over a $1 billion and two more that were close to $1 billion.

There was one single award that cracked $4 billion in value.

10. Booz Allen runs up 35 health care wins

Booz Allen Hamilton has won 35 health care contracts, valued at a total of $112 million, over the last two months to support a wide range of federal agencies and private organizations. The contracts were technically won in August and September.

9. Lockheed nets $114M win to upgrade combat simulators

Lockheed Martin has won a five-year, $114 million contract for combat vehicle simulator upgrades and for the expansion of the Marine Corps’ training capability.

Under the contract, Lockheed will develop and install 13 upgrades for close-combat tactical training systems at 19 Army installations,the company said.

8. Honeywell wins $181M logistics contract for F-18 fighters

Under this win, Honeywell will provide logistics support for auxiliary power units belonging to the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support.

Under the five-year contract, the company will provide auxiliary power units in support of the F/A-18-A-G (including F/A-18 Australian F/G models), P-3 and C-2 models, the F/A-18 main fuel controls and the p-3 engine-driven compressor.

7. Accenture nabs $250M contract to streamline transportation IDs

Accenture Federal will help the Transportation Security Administration streamline its identity management and credentialing system processes under this five-year award.

These processes are meant to verify and manage millions of identities for those working at sensitive and secure areas throughout the U.S. transportation system, Accenture said.

6. Harris wins $297M radio contract with Navy

Harris Corp. has won a $297 million task order contract to deliver Falcon tactical radio systems to the Navy.

The contract, which spans five years, was awarded by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command.

5. Five win $750M command and control contract

Five contractors will compete for task orders under this Navy contract for engineering, procurement, installation, maintenance and technical support for a variety of command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance initiatives and programs.

4. Seven share $900M Navy prize

The Navy is targeting improved battlespace awareness under the contract. The companies will compete for task orders under the Battlespace Awareness Support Portfolio Full and Open contract. According to the Deltek contract database, the Navy is currently using multiple contracts and this new contract consolidates those into a single vehicle.

3. Lockheed clears protest hurdle on $4.6B GIG contract

Lockheed Martin has the "all clear" to move ahead with the lucrative Defense Department Global Information Grid contract.

The $4.6 billion contract was awarded in June, but has been held up as the Government Accountability Office considered a protest by losing bidder Science Applications International Corp.

2. 12 contractors named to $7B Army services award

Twelve contractors were awarded $7 billion cost-plus-fixed-fee contracts by the Army for software and engineering services, according to an October 4 Defense Department announcement.

1. 6 win spots on $11B Coast Guard contract

Six small businesses have won spots on the Coast Guard’s Technical, Acquisition and Business Support Services contract. The TABSS contract is a large $11 billion vehicle that will be used by Coast Guard for a variety of services. The contract is divided into three domains, and the six winners were within the the first, which covers program management, engineering and technology expertise. The winners were:
