Why it's a big deal: JLeonard Green is a Los Angeles-based private-equity group, and this is its first deal in the government space. Scitor, which was owned by its 1,200 employees, provides a range of services, such as consulting, modeling and simulation, and systems engineering, to the intelligence community. The price has not been disclosed, but with its strong intel presence, it wasnt cheap. The deal also is further evidence that private-equity groups remain keen on the government market.
