EDS Corp. has won a $15 million contract renewal from the Defense Department to continue work on the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support automated information system, the company announced today.

EDS will continue to provide information assurance activities, enhancements and upgrades to established baselines; coordinate version control through configuration management processes; and develop architecture, infrastructure and network design models.

The company also will supply online help and documentation and offer customer support online and through help-desk and troubleshooting services. The company has supported the system for 12 years.

The system helps healthcare workers account for equipment and supplies, provides an e-commerce connection with commercial vendors and manages tracking and inventory of rooms and their contents.

EDS has 132,000 employees and annual sales of $20.6 billion. The company ranked No. 8 on Washington Technology’s 2004 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
