McNeil Technologies Inc. closed a pair of deals last week, one for a government contractor and a second for the government contracts held by another company. Terms of both deals were not disclosed.
Springfield, Va.-based McNeil acquired ViStar Corp. of Alexandria, Va., a company that provides enterprise management, business process outsourcing and human resources consulting. ViStar will operate as part of McNeils consulting practice, the company said.
This strategic move solidifies our position in the industry by combining McNeils expertise and experience with ViStars strengths and skills, said James McNeil, the company chief executive officer. We plan to use this strength to improve on and add to the services we offer our customers.
Vistars clients include the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Army, and the Defense and State departments. Aronson Capital Partners of Rockville, Md., was an adviser to Vistar.
In the second deal, McNeil acquired several federal government support contracts from ZKD Inc. of Arlington, Va. The contracts will add to McNeils language translation and intelligence business, company officials said.
McNeil is a privately held company with about 1,000 employees. It is owned by the investment group Veritas Capital of New York.
