OPM financial and procurement shop seeks software training

The Office of Personnel Management is seeking a contractor to train the agency’s workforce on new software designed to help modernize its financial and procurement systems.

In a recent notice, OPM said its Financial Systems Modernization Project Office (FSMPO) requires training in Oracle Federal Financials 11i, an off-the-shelf package that the agency will use for its modernization project.

The training should be a high-level overview of the software’s federal financial applications and cover features, implementation considerations and module integration.

OPM is pursuing the training because in September it struck an interagency agreement with the Treasury Department to have the Treasury Franchise Fund’s Administrative Resource Center (ARC) cross-service OPM’s core financial and procurement systems.

ARC will integrate the Oracle platform along with its government-wide E-Travel systems so OPM staff “gains an understanding of the systems functionality and will be able to apply this knowledge.”
