Apptis wins FTC work

Apptis Inc. will announce Monday that it won a five-year contract worth more than $16 million from the Federal Trade Commission for a managed service call center and related support.

The contract, which is for one year and four option years, was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Connections contract Category 2-Support Services vehicle. Connections is an eight-year, governmentwide contract vehicle for comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure equipment, support services and customized solutions.

Under the contract, Apptis will deliver a managed service call center that will be run from its call center at its Chantilly, Va., headquarters. The company will provide related support seven days week, as well as onsite, desk-side support for users at several FTC locations.

The contract also contains optional components for various technology services to provide regional support for the agency’s communications infrastructure management, Web support services, applications development and maintenance and the installation and implementation of FTC computing platforms.

Apptis is a privately held company that supplies IT services and solutions to the federal government. Its clients include the Defense and State departments, Environmental Protection Agency, Securities and Exchange Commission and Social Security Administration. The company had 2005 revenue of $700 million. Apptis is No. 33 on Washington Technology’s 2005 Top 100 list. The 2006 list will be released May 15.
