Dynamics Research Corp. won a $5.4 million contract from the Air Force to supply developmental research support for an inventory tracking and technology acquisition program.

Ogden Air Force Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, issued the task order contract, under which DRC will furnish support for the Skill Kitting Inventory Tracking and Technology acquisition initiative.

DRC will help establish an item identification umbrella program for the Air Force’s organic depots and will improve asset tracking of repaired, overhauled and manufactured components.

The company won the work under the Air Force’s Design and Engineering Support Program contract, which provides design, engineering and technical support services to the Air Force Air Logistics Centers through 2012. DRC is one of 10 prime contractors on the award.

DRC of Andover, Mass., offers systems development, engineering, management and logistics support solutions to the government and commercial sectors.

The company, which has about 1,800 workers and had annual revenue of $300.4 million in 2005, ranks No. 60 on Washington Technology’s 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
