Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., announced Sept. 10 that it won a $50 million subcontract from Unisys Corp. to provide enterprise integration and other information technology services to the Transportation Security Administration.

CSC is supporting Unisys' $1 billion contract to develop an IT and telecommunications infrastructure for TSA. The agency's mission is to secure transportation systems throughout the United States and protect the traveling public.

Unisys of Blue Bell, Pa., was selected Aug. 2 as the prime contractor for the infrastructure contract. The subcontract work will be performed by CSC's new Enforcement, Security and Intelligence business unit, said Tim Sheahan, its president.

CSC will provide architects, engineers and software developers to support TSA's initial effort to build a secure IT infrastructure for 429 domestic airports and more than 180 related locations. The programs eventually will include all of the nation's transportation systems, including rail, highway, transit, maritime and pipeline.

CSC may provide additional services, including information security, in support of the program.
