Unisys Corp. has won a contract from the Ohio Supreme Court to conduct a pilot project for a data warehouse to store judicial data from information systems in 17 courts.

Under the one-year. $2.2 million contract, Unisys will download, integrate and securely store information from the courts and create an interface to other agencies, including the Motor Vehicle Bureau and the Corrections Department.

Future phases of the project will integrate the remaining 360 courts into the new Ohio Courts Network. Once completed, courts throughout the state will benefit from the network’s statistical analysis and search capabilities, Unisys said.

The OCN’s infrastructure will consist of Unisys ES7000-series server platforms and use Microsoft’s SQL database for the centralized data warehouse.

Unisys’ partner on the project, Metatomix Inc. of Waltham, Mass., will provide dashboard and associated inquiry capabilities to the integration effort.

Unisys of Blue Bell, Pa., ranks No. 27 on Washington Technology’s 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
