General Dynamics Corp. will provide support to the Homeland Security Department’s National Coordinating Center under a task order that could be worth as much as $21.8 million.

The company will provide around-the-clock technical, analytical and liaison support to the center, which assists with initiating and restoring telecommunications services during crisis or emergency situations. The task order could span 50 months if all the optional renewals are used.

“General Dynamics has supported the National Coordinating Center since 2001, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and assisting the NCC team with its growing mission,” said Rick Finn, director of critical infrastructure protection solutions at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.

DHS awarded the task order under its Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract.

General Dynamics, of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 7 on Washington Technology’s 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
