CACI International Inc. will provide the Army with further engineering and testing assistance under a $26.8 million task order.

The four-year award from the Army’s Research, Development and Engineering Command calls for CACI to provide a variety of technology services related to command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

CACI’s support includes large-scale testing demonstrations and explorations at Fort Dix, N.J., and the Naval Air Engineering Station at Lakehurst, N.J., along with other, smaller-scale technical assistance.

The tests will let technology developers from government agencies, academia and the commercial sector evaluate the performance of their systems in a structured, low-risk manner under conditions not ordinarily available to them, CACI said.

The testing includes unmanned air systems and ground vehicles, unattended ground sensors, battle command systems and next-generation voice and data communications.

The task order falls under the Strategic Services Sourcing contract the company has with the Army.

CACI of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 22 on Washington Technology’s 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
