Dynamics Research Corp. will develop and implement a new Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System for Tennessee under a $25.5 million contract.

The company said it expects to deploy the system in 2010. It will be fully automated and Web-based to support child welfare cases from intake to closure.

“With real-time access to critical information, agency workers can make informed decisions that will help protect and ensure better outcomes for children and provide needed services to the children and their families,” said James Regan, DRC’s chairman, president and chief executive officer.

The company will deploy a tailored Web-based application to support a timely and consistent statewide system that allows caseworkers to share information.

The system will track child welfare cases from beginning to end, including establishing a child’s eligibility for certain services, receipt of services and providers’ certification and authentication to provide such services, the company said. The system automates case management procedures based on state, federal and caseworker requirements.

DRC of Andover, Mass., ranks No. 81 on Washington Technology’s 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
