Tyler Technologies Inc. has won a pair of contracts with California municipalities to provide financial management software.

Under the terms of the agreements, Tyler will provide various financial and human resources applications to the city of Orange and the town of Apple Valley.

The contracts cover software licensing, professional services, maintenance and support. Together they are worth more than $1.3 million.

For its contract, Orange has bought Web extensions for several applications, the company said. The extensions will enable citizens and businesses to perform transactions online.

The enterprise resource planning software will improve business functions and help improve services to citizens, company officials said.

The city of Orange is in Orange County, and the town of Apple Valley is in San Bernardino County.

Tyler, of Dallas, provides information management technologies to local governments.
