Interimage Inc. has won a $9.7 million contract modification from the Navy to continue developing and implementing a new criminal justice information system.

The new funds will cover additional work orders on the project, the Defense Department said June 19. The modification raises the total contract value to $21.8 million.

The Navy’s new criminal incident and case management system is designed as a comprehensive law enforcement information system containing data on criminal investigations, legal proceedings and correctional records, the company said in an earlier news release.

Interimage, of Arlington, Va., is a provider of software and database application development and management consulting services.
