Computer Sciences Corp. will supply the Homeland Security Department with secure data center information technology under a task order that could be worth as much as $391 million.

CSC will provide managed services, including consolidation, transformation and virtualization, for DHS’ primary data center being built at NASA’s Stennis Space Center, Miss. The task order expands the company’s existing work there and is part of the department’s consolidated IT Infrastructure Transformation Program. In addition, CSC will evaluate other department applications as DHS prepares to move to the Stennis data center.

DHS made the award to CSC under the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions contract. Eagle has a six-month base and six one-year options with the possibility of extending the sixth-year option into a two-year period.

CSC, of Falls Church, Va., ranks No. 9 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
