CACI International Inc. will assist the Air Force and some Army units with their medical logistics operations under a contract that could be worth as much as $85 million.

Under the terms of the contract, CACI will deliver medical logistics support for a wide range of situations. Specifically, the company will help designated military units build and maintain medical supplies worldwide, sustain medical logistics for deployed units and forces in forward operating areas and combat zones, and augment medical logistics for disaster response in the United States, company officials said in a news release.

The new contract continues CACI’s existing medical logistics work in the United States for all levels of the Air Force Medical Service and for some Army units. In addition, it expands the scope of the work to address the needs of the Air National Guard and Air Force units, company officials said. The nine-month contract has four one-year options.

The Air Force has contracted for the work through its Manpower and Equipment Force Packaging and Medical Logistics Support Services programs.

CACI, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
