Appointments
Nicholas Chabraja, chairman and chief executive officer at General Dynamics Corp., steps down as CEO in June 30, 2009. Jay Johnson, a member of the Falls Church, Va.-based company's board and CEO of Dominion Virginia Power Co., will succeed him. Chabraja will remain as chairman through May 2010.
Bill Donahue has been named president of Chantilly, Va.-based TechTeam Government Solutions Inc. following the resignation of Dennis Kelly. Donahue will lead a search for a successor.
Lloyd Griffiths, dean of the Volgenau School of Information Technology and Engineering at George Mason University, was elected to the board of directors at Chantilly, Va.-based GTSI Corp. Griffiths also serves on the boards of Information Systems Laboratories Inc. and JnetDirect Inc.
Kirk Evans resigned as Homeland Security Department SBInet program manager. Evans, a retired Navy captain, will take another, as yet unspecified, position at DHS. John Santo will fill in as acting program manager for SBInet.
Steve Gaffney, president of ITT Corp., McLean, Va., business unit ITT Defense and Electronics, stepped down to take on a leadership role at a private-equity firm. Named as interim president is a former president of the unit, Hank Driesse. A search for a new defense business chief has already begun, ITT said.
Steven Kantor was named senior vice president of L-3 Communications Inc. and president of the New York company's L-3 Marine and Power Systems Group. Kantor most recently was president of L-3's Power and Control Systems Group.
Patrick Shannon joined American Systems Corp. as vice president of the Chantilly, Va., company's acquisition and logistics strategic business area, focused on major weapons systems, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs and other support systems. Shannon most recently was a vice president of strategic planning for L-3 Communications Inc.
Arleen Trundy and P. Daphne Ullman joined accounting consultancy Beers and Cutler PLLC. Trundy, the Washington firm's new senior manager in the real estate practice, most recently was a senior manager at the Reznick Group. She was most recently a senior manager with Reznick Group Inc. Formerly a principal of the Pearl Group Inc., Ullman is now senior manager in Beers and Cutler's government contract consulting practice.
