3-D trumps flat pictures
A new 3-D face-recognition camera for use in authenticating individuals accessing computers is available from Bioscrypt Inc.
Bioscrypts VisionAccess 3D DeskCam performs both verification and identification operations. It also accommodates varying poses of the head and a range of lighting conditions, to provide a non-contact method of authentication with a high level of accuracy.
The new DeskCam provides hands-free and secure authentication that does not require users to remember passwords or carry tokens or cards to log on to their computers.
Integrated with Bioscrypt VeriSoft Single Sign On, authentication with the VisionAccess camera can automatically initiate network log-on or single sign-on to preregistered Web-based or Microsoft Windows applications.
Give your data some integrity
A new software tool from Sypherlink Inc. automates data preparation and movement processes to ensure information flowing through an organization is consistent and reliable, while reducing the overall time and costs associated with enforcing information integrity, according to the company.
Sypherlink Integrity acts as a traffic cop between incoming files and the target system, ensuring compliance with the requirements defined by the target application.
Key decisions and business processes rely on a critical flow of information between source and target systems. In many cases, this critical information flow is interrupted because of a lack of integrity between what the target system depends on receiving and what the sources of information actually provide.
