Motorola is providing land mobile radio products and services through a 10-year contract with the Army's communications and electronics command at Fort Monmouth, N.J. The contract was won in late 2001. The company also joined forces in 2003 with the Alaska Land Mobile Radio Executive Council to develop a statewide shared public safety communications system. The company says it was the first digital trunking system to combine state, federal and local resources into a single, shared standards-based infrastructure for public safety first responders and each participating agency's day to day operations. |
