Accelera Solutions Inc. will assist the Environmental Protection Agency shift to virtual computing for its approximately 19,000 users under a five-year, $25 million contract.
Under the terms of the Server Hosted Virtual Desktops and Applications indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, Accelera as the prime contractor will design and deliver a desktop virtualization and application solution that will establish a standard IT architecture across the agency, the company’s July 25 announcement said.
The EPA expects 9,000 to 12,000 users will be able to access the system during the first three years of deployment. Once completed, it will enable seamless and secure access to EPA information from a variety of end-point devices.
