General Dynamics IT will deliver new zero trust solutions to the Air Force through a new $120 million task order.
The contract was awarded through the Air Force’s Next Generation Gateway program.
GDIT will use its Everest Zero Trust Digital Accelerator to deliver data-centric cybersecurity solutions to around 1 million users across 187 bases worldwide.
“As cyber threats continue to escalate in velocity and sophistication from our adversaries, zero trust is fundamental to our national security,” Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for defense, said in a release.
The Everest Zero Trust Digital Accelerator is one of several centers that GDIT has developed to showcase critical technologies and develop solutions for customers, who bring some of their most pressing problems.
Other accelerators are focused on artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud computing, software development, digital engineering, and 5G. GDIT's latest center focuses on mission solutions at the tactical edge.
The zero-trust contract will help the Air Force meet a Sept. 30, 2027 deadline for fully implementing zero trust.
GDIT is also providing zero trust solutions to the U.S. Strategic Command for protecting its enterprise IT network.
