The award expands Momentum ERP platform with artificial intelligence and automation capabilities.

CGI Federal will continue to support the Environmental Protection Agency under a new $64 million contract with EPA's office of the chief financial officer.

The company will support the CFO and the agency’s financial management platform called Compass. The new contract announced Thursday expands the current implementation of CGI’s Momentum Enterprise Suite.

EPA aims to apply artificial intelligence and other Momentum capabilities in efforts to drive greater automation and systems coordination across the agency.

The contract has a five and half year term and includes several task orders to strengthen CGI’s ties with EPA.

CGI will integrate licensing, operations and maintenance work under the new contract. EPA has also tasked CGI to optimize Compass within the agency’s Amazon Web Services environment.

This move will introduce new automation, integrated AI and enterprise resource planning functions that will allow the agency to retire some legacy systems.

“By modernizing financial systems and advancing automation, we’re helping EPA improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and deliver on the federal mandate to protect taxpayer dollars through transparency and accountability,” said Jay Hadley, senior vice president and business unit leader for regulatory agencies at CGI.
