SAIC pushes back on $1.4B award that went to Accenture

The Army Corps of Engineers is using the five-year task order to modernize IT and cyber systems.
Science Applications International Corp. is challenging a $1.4 billion award that went to Accenture's U.S. federal subsidiary to support the Army Corps of Engineers' Castle-Net, a cybersecurity system.
The corps awarded the five-year task order through the Alliant 2 vehicle mid-January. SAIC filed its challenge on Monday with the Government Accountability Office after going through the Defense Department’s enhanced debriefing process.
Castle-Net is a five-year effort to modernize the corps’ IT, cybersecurity, and information management services. Its full name is the Cyber Automation Systems Technology and Lifecycle Enterprise Network.
Six companies in total bid on the task order including SAIC and Accenture Federal Services, according to Federal Procurement Data System information.
GAO is due to announce its ruling by May 20.
