SRA wins $10.5 million Pentagon task order

SRA International Inc. has been selected by the Defense Technical Information Center to provide information technology and business process reengineering to support to the Department of Defense's science and technology program, the company announced March 11.

The competitive task order, awarded under the Department of Transportation's Information Technology Omnibus Procurement II (ITOP II) program, is worth an estimated $10.5 million over five years if all options are exercised, the company said.

Under the task order, Fairfax, Va.-based SRA will provide data standardization and administration; information management requirements analysis, design and development; and business process reengineering.

The goals of the project are to reengineer science and technology program processes to achieve greater mission effectiveness, standardize data to promote interoperability, minimize duplication and enhance science and technology management decisions.

The company won the task order through a governmentwide agency contract program for IT services available for use throughout the federal government.

SRA is a provider of information technology services and solutions, including strategic consulting; systems design, development and integration; and outsourcing and operations management to clients in national security, health care and public health and civil government markets.

The company has about 1,700 employees and had annual revenue of $312.5 million in fiscal 2001, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
