Atlantic Union hires new GovCon relationship lead

Atlantic Union Bank has hired nearly four-decade financial services veteran Mike Scanlon as senior vice president and senior relationship manager in the government contractor banking group.

Scanlon will be responsible for developing and managing commercial lending relationships with government contractors and focusing on their specialized requirements, Atlantic Union said Wednesday.

He most recently was a senior vice president at Truist and worked there for close to 30 years, including at the predecessor SunTrust Banks.
