Valiant Integrated Services hires a former Peraton executive as chief growth officer and names two new business unit leaders amid a reorganization.

Valiant Integrated Services has hired nearly 25-year government market veteran and former Peraton executive John Hart as chief growth officer.

Hart officially joined Valiant on Oct. 1 amid a realignment of the company’s structure into two verticals after the acquisition of Alliance Technical Services in July.

The reorganization was announced Monday. Valiant said it also promoted four-decade market veteran Kent Smith to lead the mission support vertical and 35-year veteran Hector Alvarez as head of training and readiness. Their appointments also took effect Oct. 1.

Smith most recently led a retooling of Valiant’s operations and maintenance services in base operations support, health care, construction and other markets. His career includes senior roles at Fluor Corp. and Del-Jen.

Alvarez joined Valiant from Lockheed Martin, where he led that company’s special operations global sustainment support services business. His career also includes roles at one-time Lockheed subsidiary PAE, General Electric and the former Hughes Aircraft.
