The acquirer is looking to strengthen its artificial intelligence, cloud and cyber offerings for national security and geospatial intelligence customers.
Vibrint has acquired Ampsight in a move to add cloud engineering, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence capabilities.
The addition of Ampsight further grows Vibrint’s positioning across the geospatial intelligence community. Terms of the transaction announced Monday were not disclosed.
"Ampsight brings unique strengths in cloud, cybersecurity, and AI — especially in areas like explainable AI for geospatial and multimodal data — that directly align with the future of mission operations," said Tom Lash, CEO of Vibrint.
Ampsight is a 10-year-old company and has expertise in so-called "Explainable AI," which agencies value as they adopt more AI solutions while also pushing for transparency and operational trust.
The combined organization will offer an expanded set of capabilities including:
- Cloud-native architecture with advanced data engineering and AI/machine learning tools
- Zero trust security integrated with operational analytics
- Explainable AI for geospatial and multimodal applications
- Quantum information science and post-quantum cryptography solutions
- End-to-end mission resilience from infrastructure to interface
