The company challenged how the Defense Logistics Agency evaluated a financial modernization task order under the JETS 2.0 vehicle.

CACI International has won another shot at a $428 million Defense Logistics Agency competitions after complaining about how the agency evaluated proposals.

The company was eliminated from the competition for a task order to help modernize financial management capabilities across several defense agencies.

DLA is competing the order via the J6 Enterprise Technology Services vehicle, known as JETS 2.0, which was awarded in the fall.

CACI argued the unnamed winner did not adequately show that it had the experience, skills and processes in place to perform the work.

CACI filed the protest at the Government Accountability Office on May 27. Eight days later – Wednesday to be exact – GAO dismissed it after DLA agreed to take corrective action.

The agency is canceling the award and will re-evaluate proposals before making a new award decision.

The task order supports the Defense Agencies Initiative Application managed by DLA. DOD wants to modernize the budgeting, finance and accounting operations of most defense agencies so the department can get more accurate and reliable financial information.

Defense agencies such as Defense Contract Audit Agency, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Defense Information Systems Command and Cyber Command can tap into DAI Application and access different services.

The DAI website lists 27 different defense agencies as participants.
