Phillippe Rogge, Vodafone Germany's former CEO and a Microsoft veteran, will take over leadership of the group Heise has led for the past three years.
Angela Heise, head of Microsoft's worldwide public sector, announced in a LinkedIn post Tuesday that she is stepping down from the position.
She also announced her successor as Phillippe Rogge, who returns to the company he previously spent nearly a decade at. Most recently, Rogge was the CEO of Vodafone Germany.
Heise has been with Microsoft’s public sector business for four years and led it for the last three. Before Microsoft, she was an executive with Leidos and Lockheed Martin for two decades.
Heise did not specify what she is doing next, but wrote it will be one “fueled by purpose, possibility, and progress.”
She will also be working to ensure a smooth transition to Rogge.
“Leading Microsoft’s worldwide public sector business has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. From modernizing governments and empowering educators to protecting critical infrastructure and advancing global cybersecurity, I’ve had the honor of working alongside the people and institutions that shape our world,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
Heise signed off with a simple message: “Stay tuned.”
