The seven-year deal will modernize networks and lay the groundwork for AI deployments across the command.
ManTech International has won a $910 million contract for enterprise cyber and IT services for the U.S. Southern Command.
The company described the IT services as “data-informed,” which means that ManTech will be applying data analysis and metrics to guide decision-making and improve service delivery.
The contract is for seven years if all options are exercised. The company will provide IT, network architecture and infrastructure solutions. It will also help the command with network modernization to lay the groundwork for deployments of artificial intelligence for the command.
“ManTech’s mission depth, leadership in AI and expertise in mission-focused technology solutions are key to the DoD’s most critical priorities,” said David Hathaway, president of the company’s defense sector.
The Southern Command is based in Doral, Florida, and is one of 11 unified combatant commands. Southern Command is responsible for Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
