The company will use its TALOS artificial intelligence solution to mirror real world threats.
Slingshot Aerospace will apply its artificial intelligence experience and knowledge in work to modernize training scenarios for Space Force under a $27 million contract.
The company will focus on Space Force’s operational test and training infrastructure program to integrate existing capabilities with AI technologies. The goal is to mirror real world threats by implementing Slingshot's TALOS AI solution.
“This award marks a turning point in how the Space Force prepares for conflict in orbit” Tim Solms, Slingshot Aerospace CEO, said in a release. “TALOS allows the Space Force Guardians the ability to train against adaptive, AI-driven threats that behave like real adversaries — not pre-programmed scenarios.”
The 18-month contract was awarded through a commercial solutions opening and builds on SpaceWERX and Space Force investments made in 2022 under a $25 million STRATFI contract award.
TALOS AI is an autonomous, AI-powered agent that launched in July to realistically imitate satellite behavior for training and simulation
