Washington Technology is now accepting entries for our 2026 ranking of the government market's fastest-growing small businesses.

The nomination process is now open for the 2026 Washington Technology Fast 50 rankings.

This is an opportunity for small businesses in the government market to highlight their accomplishments and the growth trajectory they are on.

Click here to see and complete the nomination form. The due date for nominations is Aug. 28 and we will publish the Fast 50 rankings on Oct. 12.

Our annual Fast 50 program ranks small businesses according to their compound annual growth rates over the prior five years.

The 2026 rankings will look at government revenue numbers from 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Companies need a minimum of $100,000 in government revenue for 2021 to qualify.

If your company has a strong growth story to tell for that five-year period, then follow this link to nominate your firm.

Government revenue includes both prime and subcontract dollars in the federal, state and local markets. Work in the education field also qualifies.

Companies submit revenue data for the five-year period starting in 2021. We then calculate the compound annual growth rate and rank the companies accordingly.

It is important to note that when we publish the rankings, the revenue data is included and available for public view. Here are the 2025 rankings as an example.

All entries should include information on your business such as capabilities, lines of business, major customers and major contracts. That information will also be published in the package.

The Fast 50 package will include the rankings and our analysis of this year's ranking.
