The transaction gives B&A access to more contract vehicles and geospatial expertise.

B&A, which changed private equity owners less than one year ago, has acquired the intelligence and defense portfolio of Hexagon's U.S. federal subsidiary.

Financial terms of the transaction announced Thursday. B&A is seeking to expand its mission-critical enterprise information management, integrated product solutions, cybersecurity, and geospatial services.

“Combining our strengths further enables B&A to deliver advanced mission-critical technologies that directly support national and operational priorities,” B&A CEO Jonathan Evans said in a release.

The acquisition also brings B&A access to new contract vehicles. B&A is positioning for growth in areas of increasing investment by the federal government including cybersecurity, geospatial intelligence and enterprise information systems.

B&A was formerly known as Bart & Associates and DFW Capital Partners acquired the contractor in August. Battle Investment Group, another private equity firm, owned B&A during the prior two years.

"The integration of HS3 capabilities not only accelerates B&A's growth trajectory but also strengthens its ability to deliver innovative, mission-focused solutions across the intelligence and defense communities,” said Doug Gilbert, a partner with DFW.

McLean, Virginia-headquartered B&A has six primary lines of business: cloud migration and modernization, the software delivery method called Agile DevSecOps, application transformation, data science and analytics, human capital management, and operations and enablement.
