With backing from Sagewind Capital, the company continues its build out with a second transaction in six months.
Sabel Systems Technology Solutions is adding expertise in the DevSecOps software development practice and space systems engineering through its acquisition of Centil.
This is Sabel Systems' second purchase since Sagewind Capital acquired the company in October 2024. In July, Sabel acquired the small software company Jackpine Technologies.
Sagewind purchased its majority ownership of Sabel in November 2024 to create a new growth vehicle in the federal market.
Terms of the Centil purchase announced Tuesday were not disclosed. Centil brings to Sabel Systems a suite of digital engineering skills and a history of supporting defense and commercial space missions.
With Centil, Sabel adds personnel that develop and integrate secure solutions for defense missions in space.
“This acquisition brings together two teams that excel at solving complex engineering challenges and turning them into mission-ready solutions,” said Shawn Purvis, Sabel Systems' CEO. “Centil’s deep space-domain expertise combined with our digital engineering ecosystem strengthens our ability to deliver integrated, high-impact.”
KippsDeSanto & Co. was the financial adviser to Centil, whose legal counsel was Sparks Wilson. Goodwin Proctor provided M&A legal counsel to Sabel Systems, which also received counsel from Morrison & Foerster on government matters.
