This is iteration number five of the blanket purchase agreement that covers subscriptions, licenses and other needed services.

Dell Technologies' federal business has won a potential five-year, $1.3 billion blanket purchase agreement that continues its role as a provider of Microsoft products across the Homeland Security Department.

This is the fifth iteration of DHS' Microsoft Enterprise License Agreement, a blanket purchase agreement that covers perpetual software licenses and subscription licensing. DHS received two bids in total for the ELA V BPA and awarded the pact on Tuesday, according to Federal Procurement Data System records.

Dell Federal Systems will also be responsible for software assurance and maintenance services under the BPA, through which DHS acquires products that are available on the contractor's General Services Administration Schedule.

The company won iteration four of ELA in 2021, also in a head-to-head competition. ELA IV expires at the end of March and has seen approximately $280.7 million in orders placed against it, according to GovTribe data.
