This Phase III Small Business Innovation Research funding agreement opens the door for wider availability of the product across government.
Tech7, a defense and national security technology integrator, has booked a new $489 million General Services Administration contract to continue development work on a system designed to evaluate tech offerings for potential government adoption.
GSA awarded the contract as a Phase III Small Business Innovation Research funding agreement, which acts as an admission ticket for the recipient to make its product more widely available across the federal marketplace.
This particular Phase III award announced Tuesday covers the departments of Commerce, Defense and Homeland Security.
Colorado Springs-headquartered Trace7 designed its TRACE system to help agencies identify, procure and evaluate technologies as part of their larger acquisition processes.
Under the new TRACE 2.0 contract, Tech7 will work to further build out the system’s artificial intelligence and machine learning functionalities to enable further integration between government systems and third-party technologies.
Tech7 will also incorporate the DevSecOps software development approach as a way to build security into its system and facilitate ongoing updates based on user feedback.
