Find opportunities — and win them.

The General Services Administration goes with nearly four dozen as official winners for this portion of the massive government-wide IT vehicle.

The General Services Administration has finalized its first round of awards for the woman-owned track of Polaris, the massive government-wide contract vehicle set up for agencies to buy IT solutions from small businesses.

Earlier this month, GSA told 55 woman-owned small businesses they were “apparently successful” offerors pending further review of whether they were indeed WOSBs. The window also opened for size and status challenges regarding companies on the initial list.

GSA has since narrowed this group of 55 down to 47 official winners for phase one of the Polaris WOSB Pool, the agency said in a Monday notice to publish that list.

Like with the companion Alliant 3 contract, GSA is taking a staggered approach to how it makes awards for Polaris with further phases of selections planned. GSA said it received 293 proposals in total for the Polaris WOSB Pool, of which no one has officially been eliminated from yet.

The 10-year Polaris vehicle has three other pools, including a general small business pool that remains held up by protests at the Court of Federal Claims.

In November, GSA made 30 final awards for the HUBZone pool and 23 for the service-disabled/veteran-owned pool. Here again, no one has yet been eliminated from the competition from either of those pools.
