DISA starts to build recompete for DOD's Microsoft 365 support contract

The Defense Information Systems Agency is planning a follow-on to the task order General Dynamics has held since 2021, while extending the incumbent's work through May 2027.
The Defense Information Systems Agency has started laying the groundwork for the next iteration of the Defense Enterprise Office Solution contract held by General Dynamics IT.
DISA awarded the contract in 2021 for operations and maintenance work in support of the Defense Department’s Microsoft 365 environment. This includes email, collaboration and other productivity tools.
DISA is also extending GDIT's current work through May 4, 2027 the follow-on contract is competed.
In a sources sought notice posted Tuesday, DISA says it wants the new contract to begin on April 3, 2027 with a one-year base. Four individual option years would follow to take the work to April 2, 2032.
GDIT has booked $94.8 million in task order volume under DEOS, according to GovTribe data. Dell Marketing LP and Minburn Technology Group are GDIT’s partners.
Responses to the sources sought notice are due April 29.
DEOS currently supports more than 487,000 users across two tenants — roughly 137,000 on a standard classification network, and about 350,000 on a secret-level network. DISA also operates tenants for the U.K. and Australia.
For the new contract, DISA wants to add more Top Secret capabilities to the DEOS environment.
Some of the skills DISA is looking for include engineering and operational expertise, cybersecurity and risk management, knowledge management and training, and staffing and transition management.
