Frontier Technology's board of directors has elected a new member in Kay Kapoor, the three-decade government market veteran and former executive at AT&T and Accenture.

Dayton, Ohio-headquartered FTI announced her appointment Thursday amid the defense tech integrator's push to expand its network of connections to federal government leaders and executives at other companies.

Kapoor previously led AT&T's global public sector organization as president and before that was chief executive of Accenture's U.S. federal arm. She also spent 20 years in executive roles at Lockheed Martin.

She is the founder and CEO of Arya Technologies, a growth and strategy consulting firm whose clients include other companies and private equity firms.

FTI has received approximately $134.9 million in unclassified prime obligations over the trailing 12 months with the Air Force representing 45% of that and the Navy at 37%, according to GovTribe data.

The company touts its core focus as developing data analytic solutions to help customers with functions such as analytics, visualizations, systems engineering, digital transformation and logistics.
