The retiring John Kavanaugh has worked in the CFO role since Perspecta joined the fold of Peraton in 2021.

Peraton has hired a new chief financial officer in Ken Sharp, who joins the government technology integrator after three years as CFO at DXC Technology.

Sharp succeeds John Kavanaugh, who has been in the CFO role at Peraton since its combination with Perspecta closed in the late spring of 2021. He was Perspecta's CFO before the merger. Kavanaugh will remain with Peraton until Dec. 31 to support the transition, the company said Monday.

Reston, Virginia-headquartered Peraton touted itself as at around $7 billion in annual revenue and 18,000 employees at the time of that transaction.

Sharp's career prior to DXC includes a stint as CFO for the defense systems segment at Northrop Grumman, which he joined through its acquisition of Orbital ATK in 2018. He has also worked in senior financial leadership roles at Leidos, Science Applications International Corp. and the former Computer Sciences Corp.
