Christopher Copeland joins the company amid its pivot to taking a more horizontal view of technology and engineering.

ManTech has hired a new chief digital officer in Christopher Copeland, a 25-year federal market veteran who will lead the company's technology transformation work for agencies.

A former Accenture Federal Services executive, Copeland joins ManTech amid the company's ongoing pivot to offer its engineering and consulting services on a more horizontal basis versus being focused on individual opportunities.

Most recently, Copeland worked as chief technology officer and managing director at Accenture's U.S. federal subsidiary with responsibility for that business' overall tech vision.

Copeland also was the technology and operations lead for AFS' work to help stand up and maintain Healthcare.gov under a contract first signed in 2014 and kept via a recompete win in the spring of 2023.

AFS credits Copeland with helping drive sales of cloud, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence offerings to 15 Cabinet departments and 60 federal agencies.
