The defense technology services provider is pushing to expand its portfolio across intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, engineering, multimedia and IT services.
FGS has hired a new chief executive in Nicklous “Nick” Combs, a four-decade public sector veteran and most recently a division vice president at CACI International.
Combs joins the defense technology services provider amid its push to expand the portfolio of offerings across intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, engineering, multimedia and IT services. His appointment to lead FGS is effective immediately, the company said Tuesday.
A former Army paratrooper, Combs’ government service career includes positions such as deputy chief for enterprise IT solutions at the Defense Intelligence Agency. He also is a former chief information officer for the National Media Exploitation Center, which is a part of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
In addition to CACI, Combs’ roles in the private sector have included chief technology officer for EMC’s federal division and CTO for SRA International.
FGS has recorded approximately $47.4 million in unclassified prime contract revenue over the trailing 12 months with all of that spend from the Navy, according to GovTribe data.
