NexTech is looking to beef up its ability to automate video workflows and operate in challenging environments.
NexTech Solutions has acquired a developer of video distribution software in a move to bolster product offerings for use in complex environments involving the use of sensors and systems for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Vidterra opened for business in 2020 with the idea of helping government agencies and businesses derive more value and use from hours of reconnaissance video collected each day. The company designs its software to help operators simplify how they process and deliver video and sensor data to other users.
Financial terms of the transaction announced Wednesday were not disclosed.
"Modern missions demand clarity, speed, and confidence in the systems supporting the operator,” NTS’ chief executive Joseph Paull said in a release.
Vidterra describes its software as being able to automate workflows and operate in challenging environments, such as those where network connectivity is limited and scenarios involving low-SWaP devices (size, weight and power).
