Find opportunities — and win them.

Falfurrias Management Partners has helped Woven acquire two other businesses since first backing the company.

Woven Solutions, a national security tech integrator owned by Falfurrias Management Partners, has acquired a developer of software tools for use in sensitive cybersecurity and information operations missions.

Apira Technologies opened for business in 2020 to specialize in computer vision, machine learning and artificial intelligence systems. Apira touts its offerings as being able to help law enforcement and national security agencies in detecting synthetic media and other AI-enabled content.

By purchasing Apira, Woven is looking to bolster its research-and-development posture that includes the delivery of commercial technology solutions to cyber operators. Financial terms of the transaction announced Thursday were not disclosed.

For Woven, this represents its second acquisition since Falfurrias acquired the contractor in the summer. Falfurrias made this purchase through the private equity firm’s sixth fund, which focuses on the lower middle market.

In December, Woven announced its acquisition of Cysemic Security as part of a push to incorporate cyber forensics into the portfolio of technical offerings.

TideLock Partners and Greenberg Traurig were Apira's financial and legal advisers, respectively. Holland and Knight was the legal adviser to Woven.
