Aeon

Joseph Xuereb has joined this developer of tactical weapons systems as vice president of supply chain, a role he brings three decades of experience to.

“As Aeon moves into rate production and expands our manufacturing footprint, building a resilient, scalable supply chain is critical to delivering at the speed and volume our customers need,” Aeon wrote in a LinkedIn post on the hire.

Xuereb most recently worked as director of supply chain for the launched effects business line at Anduril. His career also includes roles at AirBorn-Molex, Flextronics and 3M.

BAE Systems Inc.

Michael Loeffler has joined the defense company’s U.S. subsidiary as vice president of supply chain, a role he brings two decades of experience to.

Loeffler moves into the role formerly held by Brad Pelachyk, now chief global supply chain officer for the BAE Systems PLC parent, and oversees how “Inc.” works to ensure its supply chain remains healthy.

Prior to BAE, he worked as VP of global supply chain logistics at Bell. His career also includes roles at L3Harris Technologies, GE Aviation and Boeing.

Blackwatch International

Mike Horton has joined the technology and engineering services provider as chief operating officer, a role he brings two decades of experience to.

Blackwatch has tasked Horton with leading its functions in delivery, organizational performance, customer relationships and continued growth.

He more recently worked as vice president of national security at ASRC Federal and also holds the distinction of serving as the Homeland Security Department’s first-ever chief data officer.

BWX Technologies

Suzanne Maddux has joined the nuclear fuel and component supplier as senior vice president of operations, a newly-created position she brings 25 years of experience to.

Maddux now leads BWXT’s functions related to environmental health and safety, security, operational performance, and supply chain. She also provides oversight for manufacturing operations, engineering, quality and company-wide shared learning efforts.

She most recently worked as vice president of global supply chain at Mercury Systems and is an 18-year veteran of RTX Corp.

Guidehouse

Mishelle Pedenko has joined the professional services firm as growth leader for its health segment, a role she brings 24 years of experience to.

Guidehouse’s LinkedIn post on the hire describes her role as covering the firm’s provider, payer, federal health and life sciences practices.

Pedenko most recently worked at Accenture for 14 years, including the latter three as managing director and health provider business lead for the Midwest region.

Mantech

Steve Kapinos has moved up to chief data officer after 17 years at the company, where he most recently worked as vice president of cognitive cyber.

“Mr. Kapinos drives delivery and adoption of innovative capabilities enabling mission operator success in a dynamic and contested cyber environment,” Mantech wrote in a LinkedIn post on his new position.

He additionally advises Mantech’s executive leadership team on cyber policy matters.

Oddball

Paul Baumgartner has joined the digital services provider as vice president of federal health, a role he brings 18 years of industry experience to.

Oddball’s LinkedIn post on the hire describes his responsibilities as including the company’s growth strategy across the Health and Human Services Department, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other federal health organizations.

Baumgartner most recently worked as a business development executive at General Dynamics’ IT services unit. Prior to GDIT, he spent 12 years at SemanticBits.

Red Cell Partners

Erin O’Brien Hawley has joined the technology incubator as chief revenue officer, a role she brings 27 years of experience to.

“I'll be focused on our work across government, helping translate great technology into mission-critical impact,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post on her new role.

Hawley most recently worked as chief revenue officer at Primer.ai. Her career also includes roles at Instabase, DataRobot and Cloudera.

WSP

Jess Commerford has moved up to federal business line executive at the engineering and design firm, which he joined in 2019 through its acquisition of Louis Berger.

Commerford now oversees the operational aspects of WSP’s federal portfolio and succeeds Todd Semonite, who was appointed federal regional executive. Semonite’s role focuses on advancing growth across the federal business.

Commerford spent three decades at Louis Berger before it was purchased by WSP, while Semonite is a former commanding general of the Army Corps of Engineers.

Air

Matthew Steckman, president and chief business officer at Anduril, has joined the board of directors at this supply chain tracking and analysis software provider.

Steckman’s appointment follows Air’s rebranding in June to that name and identity from Govini. The company received a $150 million investment from Bain Capital in the fall with an eye toward hiring more technical staffers in artificial intelligence, data and engineering.

Also during the summer, Air’s board elected NightDragon CEO Dave DeWalt as a member and former ID.me executive David Kensick joined as chief operating officer.

Veilant

John Hassoun, chief executive of VTG, has joined the board of directors at this digital security tech outfit owned by Enlightenment Capital.

Veilant rebranded to that new name and identity in the spring from Ridgeline International, close to three years after Enlightenment acquired the company.

Hassoun’s career in the market includes four years as CEO of Vistronix, which ASRC Federal acquired in 2016.
