Vantor’s strategy centers around providing a broad set of spatial intelligence offerings that are tied to its Earth imagery satellites.
Vantor has a new leader for its U.S. government business in Will Cocos, who previously served as the chief transformation officer at the Earth intelligence company since 2023.
Cocos now works as executive vice president and general manager of the unit, Vantor said Wednesday. He succeeds Susanne Hake, who announced her departure from Vantor after having led the business since 2023.
Formerly known as Maxar Intelligence, Vantor’s strategy centers around providing a broad set of spatial intelligence offerings that are tied to its flagship WorldView Legion constellation and other imagery satellites.
Vantor operates the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s primary platform for commercial GEOINT capabilities, called GEGD Pro, which the company touts as having a user base across 250 agencies.
Vantor is also the prime contractor for One World Terrain, an Army effort to create a digital twin of the physical Earth in order to train soldiers, and provides automated analysis to NGA as part of the Luno program.
As chief transformation officer, Cocos shaped Vantor’s push for growth in international markets to support the overall strategy. Cocos worked as a partner at Boston Consulting Group prior to Vantor and is a former Navy SEAL officer, having served in combat in Afghanistan and Iraq.
