AttackIQ

Dave Mihelcic, a former chief technology officer for the Defense Information Systems Agency, has joined this provider of continuous threat exposure management tools as field CTO for the federal unit.

AttackIQ designs its products to help organizations validate their cyber defenses, break attack paths and lower threat debts. The company has also built an agentic operating system for CTEM functionality.

“Federal security teams cannot rely solely on what a control is configured to do or what an assessment showed months ago. They need evidence that their defenses are working against the threats they face,” Mihelcic wrote in a blog post on his new role.

Computomic

Maurine Fanguy has joined this integrator of the Databricks platform as president of its federal business unit, a role she brings three decades of experience to.

Fanguy most recently worked as head of federal at Thunder, which like Computomic is owned by the private investment firm Washington Harbour Partners. Her career also includes a stint as CEO of Digital Trusted Identify Services, plus leadership roles at Accenture’s U.S. federal subsidiary and MorphoTrust USA.

Epirus

Justin Jordan has joined the maker of directed energy systems as senior vice president of growth, a role he brings nearly a decade of defense and tech experience to.

“He’ll own our growth strategy across the U.S. government, commercial, and international partners so our systems protect warfighters, civilians, and critical assets, and stop autonomous threats before they reach the fight,” Epirus wrote in a LinkedIn post on the hire.

Jordan most recently worked as a vice president of federal sales at the drone Skydio. He is also a former Marine.

Ericsson Federal

Patrick Gorman has joined the telecommunications conglomerate’s U.S. government-focused subsidiary as chief technology officer, a role he brings four decades of public and private sector experience to.

Gorman most recently worked as an executive vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he helped lead its 5G and cyber practices. His industry career also includes roles at CyberGRX, Bridgwater Associates and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch.

While in government, he served as assistant director of national intelligence and chief information officer for the intelligence community. He was involved in the work to establish the Transportation Security Administration following the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

KBR

Kim Denver has joined the engineering company as senior vice president of contracts and supply chain, a role he brings four decades of experience to.

Denver most recently spent 13 years at Leidos, including the past year as its global chief supply chain officer and chief contracts executive. His career in government includes service as deputy assistant Army secretary for procurement.

MetroStar Systems

Ashley Brush has moved up to chief business officer at the enterprise IT and digital transformation specialist, where she has been for 11 years.

Brush recently worked as senior vice president for operational excellence and strategy at MetroStar. Her promotion coincides with MetroStar’s acquisition of Steampunk.

Quantum Sky

With its new name and CEO both in place, the government technology integrator has appointed three executive vice presidents to lead its business groups based on customer sets.

Samantha Moore will lead Quantum Sky’s unit focused on the Defense Department, while Jessica Merriam was named EVP for the intelligence and space group. Nicole Gibson has been selected as EVP of the civilian group.

Moore is a two-decade market veteran whose career includes roles at SMX and Amazon Web Services. Merriam’s two-decade public sector career includes positions at SilverEdge and CACI International. Gibson has been in the industry for 25 years and most recently helped lead enterprise transformation efforts at Guidehouse.

Red Gate Group

Rob Cordray has added the title of president at the technology and professional services provider, which he first joined in the fall of 2018 as chief growth officer.

Cordray will continue to work in the CGO capacity, under which the company secured a position on the Defense Department’s potential $1.5 billion Analytic and Technical Support Services vehicle in 2022.

Red Gate is a service-disabled/veteran-owned small business that started in 2006.

Research Innovations Inc.

Scott Bailey has joined the software engineering and defense tech company as vice president of electronic warfare and signals intelligence, a role he brings 26 years of military and industry experience to.

Bailey most recently ran profit-and-loss functions for a SIGINT and EW business at CACI International. He is also a 21-year Army veteran whose career include service as a product manager at the branch’s program executive office for intelligence, electronic warfare and sensors.

RII announced the hire in a LinkedIn post that also references Dragonfly, its family of ruggedized sensors that are moving into production.

Tychon

Garland Garris has joined the cybersecurity software company as senior vice president of research and technology strategy, a role he brings three decades of experience to.

“He will drive Tychon’s quantum readiness growth and market strategy, lead strategic customer and partner engagements, and work across our sales, product, engineering, and delivery teams to turn market insights into action and innovation,” Tychon said in a Linkedin post on the hire.

Garris most recently worked as an emerging tech lead at Accenture’s U.S. federal subsidiary and is a 14-year veteran of the FBI, where his most recent role was chief technology strategy officer.

Varda Space Industries

Aaron Huber has joined the space infrastructure company as chief financial officer, a role he brings two decades of experience to.

Huber most recently worked as chief financial officer at Commure. His career also includes roles at Ginkgo Bioworks, ClearMotion and Kearney.

Varda also has brought in a new chief revenue officer in Steve Layne, a three-decade defense sector veteran and more recently deputy of strategic and missile defense systems at Lockheed Martin’s space segment.

“Their job is to fund the world’s first orbital manufacturing fleet and deliver space-made pharmaceuticals to patients,” Varda said in a LinkedIn post on the hires.

Xcelerate Solutions

Jeff Keen has moved up to president of mission and digital solutions at the secure IT services provider, where he has led its civilian portfolio since he first joined in the spring.

Prior to Xcelerate, he worked as a senior vice president at CACI International and helped lead the integration of Applied Insight after their transaction closed in the fall of 2024. He led Applied Insight’s civilian business before its sale to CACI.

Aerospace Corp.

Celeste Ford, founder and managing director of investment firm Stellar Ventures, has joined the board of directors at this nonprofit operator of a federally-funded research-and-development center focused on space.

Ford founded the contractor Stellar Solutions in 1995 and led it as CEO until 2018. She remains involved as chairman of the board of directors.

She started the investment firm in 2022 to invest in emerging space tech companies.

Lantronix

Jason Lamb, CEO of the holding company LGL Group, has joined the board of directors at this developer of technologies and solutions for unmanned systems and networks.

Lamb is also a former chief strategy officer for BlackSea Technologies and joined that maritime defense tech outfit in 2002 following its acquisition of Hard Yards.

Earlier in his career, Lamb served as an officer in the Navy SEAL teams.

Lentech

Kevin Bennett has joined the board of directors at this employee-owned contractor, where he will advise the leadership team on growth and operations initiatives.

Bennett most recently spent nine years at Science Applications International Corp., where he was a vice president of business development for a business group with $1.4 billion in annual revenue.

He is also a retired colonel in the Air Force, where he served 28 years in roles such as deputy chief information officer for Transportation Command.

Mitre Corp.

Jonathan Moneymaker, the former CEO of BlueHalo, has joined the board of trustees at the nonprofit organization that manages six federally-funded research and development centers.

Moneymaker led BlueHalo from its 2020 inception to its sale to AeroVironment in 2025 for $4.1 billion in stock.

He is also chairman of the U.S. board for Kongsberg, as well as chairman of the board for LeoLabs.

Sierra Space

Warren Jenson has joined the board of directors at this defense tech and space company, where he will also chair the audit committee.

Jenson currently works as chief financial officer of Polymarket. His career also includes CFO roles at Nielsen, LiveRamp, Electronic Arts, Amazon, Delta Air Lines and NBC. He also is on the boards for DigitalOcean and Dropbox.

Sierra Space hired industry veteran Dan Jablonsky as CEO in February, then closed a $550 million Series C capital raise the next month.
