Aptim has hired a new chief executive in Chuck Prow, a three-decade industry veteran and formerly CEO of V2X, a company he led from its inception via a merger of two other companies.
Prow will join Aptim on Monday to lead the environmental and resilience consulting services provider through the next phase of its push for growth in defense modernization, energy security and critical infrastructure.
Aptim said Tuesday that Prow succeeds Mark Fallon, who is stepping down after six years as its chairman and CEO. Aptim has been owned by private equity firm Veritas Capital since 2017.
Baton Rouge, Louisiana-headquartered Aptim describes itself as a specialist in environmental, engineering, emergency management, sustainability, resilience and infrastructure services for organizations in government and commercial sectors.
Aptim has recorded roughly $154 million in unclassified prime contract revenue over the trailing 12 months with Energy Department work representing 47%. GovTribe data identifies the Army, Navy and Environmental Protection Agency as other major customers.
Prow oversaw the standup of V2X via the 2022 merger of Vertex and Vectrus, the latter of which he led as CEO since 2016.
Prow’s career in the market also includes 12 years at IBM in positions of increasing responsibility, culminating with a stint as general manager for global government industry.
