DHA picks 12 for $300M product deployment contract

The Defense Health Agency hires a pool of companies to aid its deployment, training, change management and sustainment activities.
The Defense Health Agency has awarded 12 companies positions on a potential five-year, $300 million contract for a broad range of professional services to help DHA manage products across the enterprise.
DHA set up the multiple-award contract to support product deployment efforts by the Program Executive Office for Defense Healthcare Management Systems, or PEO DHMS.
DHA received 29 offers for the contract, according to the Pentagon’s Thursday awards digest.
Winners are as follows:
- A Square Group
- Accenture’s U.S. federal services
- CACI International
- Deep Mile Networks
- Deloitte Consulting
- General Dynamics’ IT services unit
- Great Hill Solutions
- Kearney & Co.
- Leidos
- Peraton
- Planned Systems International
- Vista Global Solutions
They will compete for task orders to carry out non-personal services for deployment, training, change management and sustainment activities. Solicitation documents released in April describe how work will support DHA’s health IT environment, which includes the MHS Genesis electronic health record system.
DHA awards this new contract amid its efforts to transition the military’s EHR away from a single lead systems integrator model, and more toward direct contracts with providers of the underlying technologies.
Leidos is the prime contractor for Genesis and its selection for the PEO DHMS Deployment Solutions program means the company is poised to stay involved in the effort.
