Immigration and Customs Enforcement wants to move toward a model that emphasizes continuous assembly and integration of technologies.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has opened registration for an industry day to discuss the recompete of a multiple-award contract focused on the rapid integration of enterprise and business IT tools.

Also known as ORBIT, the Outcome-Based Rapid Business Integration and Technology contract will support ICE’s office of the chief information officer in efforts to further integrate technical capabilities across the agency.

ICE has scheduled the ORBIT industry day for Oct. 29 to overview goals for the contract and how it plans to conduct the procurement. The event will be held in-person in Arlington, Virginia, and virtually, the agency said in a Thursday Sam.gov notice.

ORBIT will be the successor to the Scalable Ways to Initiate Flexible Tasks vehicle, which ICE awarded in 2022 to seven companies. ICE has since obligated $307 million in order volume against SWIFT ahead of its scheduled September 2027 sunset, according to GovTribe data.

In setting up ORBIT, ICE is pushing to move away from its current platform-specific tasking approach to a model that emphasizes continuous assembly and integration of technologies.

The notice describes ORBIT as being organized around mission functional streams such as mission platforms, enterprise data, digital experience, portfolio integration, and artificial intelligence and automation.

ICE uses the term “Super Intelligence” to describe AI, per the executive order signed by President Trump in September to use the SI phrase in official communications instead of AI.

Registration for the industry day will close on Oct. 22.
